WTF?!?!?!?

I just saw two 1920s patterns on eBay listed for $49.88 EACH as a BIN. Are you kidding me? PATTERNS?!?!? I could buy an authentic dress for less than that because I have paid less than that for an authentic 20s dress. Good luck selling those patterns lady! Oh, they come with a free bar of GOLD. Carry on then.

  1. I have noticed that a lot lately! And the patterns aren't even that special!

  2. I can sympathize. I feel in love with a $65 30s pattern. What kills me is in the description, it mentions missing the sleeve piece. I'm watching it, but honestly, I've never paid more than $19.99 for a pattern.

  3. Those people are complete shitheads! I saw the Oct 1931 issue of Photoplay on egay for 200$!!!! Yes, TWO HUNDRED dollars! I bought the same mag several years sgo for under $20. LOL. Shithead. I also LOL when shitheads try to sell SINGLE PAGES of magazines for $20. You can get a whole vintage mage for UNDER that (including shipping!) Good thing most vintage paper lovers look down on these assholes who tear up history for profit. I hope they all get huge ebay listing debt.

  4. Aaaah what?! Things have been getting way too expensive lately- one lady was trying to sell muslin petticoats for 200 euro somewhere online. I think I could buy that much muslin for about meh, five, six euro TOPS? I mean what, did she starch them with gold? RIDICULOUS! :P

That's a bummer about your pattern, though. I draft most of mine, so usually it's not a big issue, but I HATE people who try to rip you off because they think you don't know any better. I agree with newvintage- I've never paid more than 20 euro for a pattern. :]
