Welcome to my sewing blog! I've been sewing since 2007. I really enjoy making costumes. (Too bad Halloween is only once a year!) I'll sew just about anything really, and you can see my designs modeled exclusively on me.
...you just saved my life! See, I have Victorian hair. As in, down-to-my-tailbone long hair. I reenact almost every era under the sun, and it's accurate up until the '20s (and for WWII it'd be a curse if it weren't for the god that is the hair rat ahaha!) Yep, there is 1920s reenacting- you aughta try it! But I have an early '20s event coming up soon, and I thought I was doomed to the Mary-Pickford-esque ringlets hair, which, while nice, is rather young. I completely forgot about Pauline Frederick's oldy-but-goody of just putting the finger waves in and putting your hair into a loose bun at the nape of your neck. Thanks so much! :D
WHOA -- is that third one down a really young Connie Bennett?????
ReplyDeleteIt is! You go on with your sharp eye! She's so lovely.
ReplyDeletewish I had the patience to style my hair properly, these ladies look divine!
ReplyDeleteI mostly cheat and use wave clips.
